AS/NZS 1680.1:2006
The general principles for interior and workplace lighting. The lighting lumen method tool reads its illuminance classes and its working plane heights. Table 3.1 is verified against the printed page. Table 3.2 stays derived: its adjacent-space ratio prints ambiguously and waits on a second printed source.

Recommended maintained illuminances for various types of tasks, activities or interiors
The lighting lumen method tool reads the maintained illuminance for a class of task. It maps each workplace room use to one class, and names the table in its steps. The rows are workplace interiors. A house’s rooms, its kitchen and garage too, and outside areas are not in this table, so the tool marks their targets as typical.

Lighting parameters for general lighting: recommendations
The lighting lumen method tool reads two working plane heights here. They are 0.7 m at a desk and 0.85 m at a bench. The spacing check aims at the uniformity over a space that this table gives.
Derived: read against the printed standard, pages 22 (PDF 24). Checked 1 Oct 2026.
