Is this tool legal advice?
No. The tool is a pointer, not a ruling. It names the regulation that lists the work and reports the numbers that regulation carries. It does not tell you what you may do. Read the current reprint of the regulations and ask WorkSafe or a licensed inspector.
What does the tool report?
The work category under regulation 6A, whether regulation 65 lists a certificate of compliance, whether regulation 70 lists a record of inspection, the 20 working day period of regulation 74C, and the demand thresholds of regulations 57 and 59.
Which edition of the regulations does it use?
The reprint as at 4 April 2016. Later amendments touch the standards named in regulations 59 and 60 and the treatment of photovoltaic systems. Check the current reprint on the New Zealand legislation website before you rely on any result.
