Industrial communications sources 2019-2024
Cable maker booklets and manuals, and a continuing-education course. AmpSize uses them for interface length limits, screen requirements and cable constructions, because it holds no printed communications standard. Every result that reads them says so.

Length, screen and construction limits for five industrial interfaces
The comms cable selector reads the length limit, the termination, the screen requirement and the construction for each interface, the RS-485 segment length for each transmission speed, and the sheath, screen and bending rules for each environment. The rows are manufacturer data and secondary-source data, not a standard.
Derived: read against a secondary source, pages TI SLLA036D p.6 (unit load definition, line termination test, nominal 1.2 km on 24 AWG), p.7 (unit load worked example) and p.9 (RT equals R0 equals 120 ohm); Siemens Table 3-1 p.42, Table 3-3 p.43, Table 3-4 p.44, Table 3-6 p.46 and section 3.1.5 p.47-48; LAPP p.17 (screen behaviour), p.26 and p.28 (fieldbus overview), p.50 and p.51 (copper Ethernet), p.61 (PROFINET IO); PDHonline E497 p.23 and p.32; HELUKABEL Earthing and Shielding PDF p.5-6 and the HELUKABEL product pages for the PROFInet Type A, Industrial Ethernet and HELUCHAIN ranges.
